Here is an easy tutorial to build a paper made chef hat, like the one Chef Quiche always wears. Follow all the steps and create your own chef hat!
1.) Download the chef hat template here.
2.) Print the template and cut the hat shape out. If you would like your chef hat to be a little sturdier, copy the template on a white poster board, and then cut it out.
3.) You can write your name on your hat, like I did with mine in the picture below. You can add some drawings or decorations too, just use your imagination and creativity!
4.) Take a white poster board and cut a strip that is 2 inches high and long enough to match the circumference of your head. Then use a glue stick to paste your chef hat shape to the poster board strip. Make sure that it sticks well and that the hat shape does not detach from the strip when you bend the strip around your head. For this reason, I added two pieces of transparent tape to the right and left ends of the hat’s base.
5.) Now bend the poster board strip around your head and find the size that best fits your head; ask a grown up to help you with this. Then use two pieces of tape to fix the poster board strip where the size is just perfect.
Now your very own chef hat is ready! I can’t even imagine how many delicious meals you are going to prepare while wearing this hat! Have fun while playing!
